2022 Forum on Future of World Academic Libraries (WAL)
Time: Nov. 16 to Nov. 17, 2022 (Beijing Time)

In order to better cope with the changing needs of the innovation subject, to respond to the evolution of research paradigms, and to explore scientific and efficient knowledge innovation paradigm, CNKI has held “Forum on Future of World Academic Libraries (WAL)” in conjunction with International Association of University Libraries (IATUL), Tsinghua University Library and The University of Hong Kong Libraries since 2020.
In the past two forums, more than 40 experts and scholars from the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Russia, Hungary, Spain, Australia, UAE, South Africa, Singapore, Japan, China and other countries shared their insights online. The past online lectures displayed the latest research or practice led by the world’s top academic library directions and attracted more than 100,000 views from over 20 countries and regions.
The third session of WAL will focus on “Digital Competence and Future -- New Model of Academic Libraries and Global Knowledge Sharing” and invite experts and scholars in the field to explore changes and challenges brought about by library innovations, and discuss ways to effectively promote knowledge dissemination and information sharing.
